Sequim, WA (pronounced "squim") is famous throughout the Pacific Northwest for its low rainfall and sunny skies. Known as "Sunny Sequim" or "the Blue Hole", Sequim lies in the rainshadow of the Olympic mountains, and boasts an average annual rainfall of less than 16 inches.

Originally developed as an agricultural community, the Dungeness Valley is breathtaking with its green, rolling fields and blue skies framing the crisp, white peaks of the Olympics in the distance. In recent years, however, Sequim's consistently sunny weather, unusual for Western Washington, has drawn many new residents from urban areas elsewhere that want to enjoy the benefits of a less crowded and more friendly community.
